Five-story 50,000 SF school addition to the Inventors Hall of Fame on a very restricted urban site. The school represents a unique collaboration between the Akron Public Schools, the City of Akron, the University of Akron, the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation, the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce, and Akron Tomorrow. The new addition incorporated a new central atrium, classrooms and laboratories, gymnasium on lower level, second level bleacher system overlooking the gymnasium, flexible classroom partitioning and structural renovations of the existing museum. Site improvements included a bus drop-off and queuing for student drop-off, and renovation of an exterior plaza for a student play area.
