Designed a new 343,000 SF facility. The goal was to create a state-of-the-art facility that offers expanded services and more private rooms for patients and serves as the new “front door” to the Summa Health - Akron Campus. The new facility includes exam rooms, private inpatient rooms, operating rooms, labor and delivery rooms, prep and recovery rooms for same-day surgery, newborn observation room, neonatal intensive care, and new MRI equipment. Hospital staff required functional, state-of-the-art science spaces. The additional patient rooms provide more privacy for the patients.
